El Impacto de la Tecnología en la Salud Mental de los Adolescentes: Un Estudio Longitudinal

El objetivo de este estudio fue investigar el impacto del uso de tecnología en la salud mental de los adolescentes. Se implementó un enfoque metodológico mixto, combinando métodos cuantitativos y cualitativos, para recopilar datos sobre el uso de dispositivos tecnológicos, los patrones de sueño y los síntomas de salud mental. Los resultados revelaron una asociación significativa entre el uso excesivo de tecnología, especialmente en redes sociales, y una variedad de problemas de salud mental, incluida la ansiedad, la depresión y la afectación del bienestar emocional. Estos hallazgos respaldan la investigación previa que ha identificado los efectos negativos del tiempo de pantalla en la salud mental de los adolescentes (Twenge & Campbell, 2018; Odgers et al., 2018). Este estudio subraya la importancia de desarrollar intervenciones y políticas que promuevan un uso saludable y equilibrado de la tecnología entre los adolescentes para proteger su bienestar mental a largo plazo
